The Philippine Nature Foundation supports and promotes on their mission to protect our world’s ocean natural reef ecosystem and to rehabilitate our reefs using The Reef Ball artificial reef technology method.
Our Corporate purpose is to carefully monitor the complex biodiversity of the unique Philippine eco-system. Our goal is preserve and protect designated marine sanctuaries, and the integrity of the endangered coral reefs. We are also deeply committed to the preservation of the Banaue Rice Terraces, and the development of environmental educational programs for schools.
The Philippine Nature Foundation was conceived in 1989 to address the unique and special needs of the Philippines. Our mission is to seek out and finance environmentally sound projects and develop functional, self-sufficient entities that create jobs and improve the quality of life. We fund our own projects as well as provide funds to other organizations for their projects that meet our criteria.
The Philippines is a country that is rich in natural resources, yet a tragic victim of mismanagement of these resources. Our agenda is expanding into low-cost housing, clean and green environmentally friendly building materials, eco-tourism, children’s health and needs, reforestation, and alternative energy and power solutions.

Eco-tourism (also known as ecological tourism) is a form of tourism that appeals to ecologically and socially conscious individuals. Eco-tourism is a conceptual experience, enriching those who delve into researching and understanding the environment around them.
The Philippine Nature Foundation, Inc. is a pioneer in bamboo reforestation projects, soil erosion control and livelihood development projects which include bamboo, rattan, and other natural reeds for the high end furniture market.
Monolithic “Ecoshell” Dome Housing is solar powered, fire resistant, earthquake and hurricane proof, maintenance-free and consume very little energy. You sponsor a Filipino family and we can teach the construction process, thereby educating the people how to build the dome homes for themselves. We believe this is a viable solution for the people.
Coral reefs are the rainforests of the sea: diverse, vibrant, beautiful, and desperately endangered. Anthropogenic fluxes are causing the destruction of these systems. In order to understand exactly why human actions have had such a dramatic effect on coral reefs, it is necessary to understand what coral and coral reefs are and to know a little bit about how reefs form.
The sea life and coral reefs were once devastated by abuses of the fisher-folk. We were able to get the cooperation of the local leaders and convince them to convert the area into a world class Scuba Diving resort enabling them to earn more revenues and create many new jobs.
